IT Delivery Manager – SAP Release Management

As a Delivery Manager, you play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases within our SAP environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the IT delivery and lifecycle of SAP backend systems, including development, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and coordinate detailed release and deployment plans, considering both internal and external resources and ensuring timely, quality releases.
  • Oversee ongoing service operations, proactively managing issues and escalations to maintain high service standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication among development teams, business units, IT operations, and external partners to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the release process.
  • Manage and monitor service delivery relationships with partners, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and leveraging performance reporting.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for improvement within release and service management processes and drive the implementation of enhancements.
  • Monitor release quality, ensuring compliance with established standards and seamless integration into the existing system landscape.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and regularly report on the status and progress of releases and service operations.

You offer us:

  • Successfully completed studies at a university of applied sciences (at least a Bachelor's degree) in IT or a comparable qualification.
  • At least one year of proven experience in IT service delivery management, ideally with a focus on SAP applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SAP landscape, including both technical and operational aspects of SAP releases.
  • Initial professional experience in SAP, ideally as an SAP Delivery Manager, with comprehensive expertise in SAP Release Management.
  • Solid understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL); ITIL Foundation and relevant intermediate certifications (such as Service Operation or Service Transition) are advantageous.
  • Basic familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing external service providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of business English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Strong team player with experience in lateral leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Intercultural competence and experience working in international environments.
