Finance Controller
The financial controller is responsible for supporting the financial management and controlling of the IT department, including daily operations, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accurate financial processes and reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Daily financial transactions - collaborate with the 3rd party accounting services provider and monitor the day-to-day financial operations and accounting transactions (general ledger, asset, AP/AR, cash flow and others).
- Manage and perform Year/Month-end closing activities – manage accounting postings created by 3rd party and responsible to ensure year/month-end closing is complete on the 5th working day of the month.
- Prepare and submit Management and Treasury reports – ensure timely and accurately submission of reports on a monthly basis in accordance with Corporate Controlling guidelines.
- Budget – Provide support in the preparation, review, and management of the monthly and annual budget in collaboration with the Finance Lead.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements by preparing and submitting required reports.
- Collaborate in the preparation of the financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal guidelines.
- Provide auditors with all required documentation and information to support financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
- Financial Performance – Provide financial support for IT projects and initiatives.
- Financial processes – Participate in the continuous improvement and standardization of financial and controlling processes.
Know-how and Competencies
- Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling (preferably in an international environment).
- Hands-on experience with accounting processes, financial closing, reporting, and budgeting.
- Good knowledge of local (PGC) and international (IFRS) accounting standards.
- Practical experience with SAP FI/CO is preferred; advanced MS Excel skills required.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
