Adobe Experience Manager - Senior Frontend Developer (AEM)

 Our Vorwerk branch in Madrid, is responsible for the software development of all differentiating software solutions within Vorwerk. To establish its internal eCommerce development team, we are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with extensive experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5 to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing scalable web applications and engaging user interfaces, collaborating closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to bring digital strategies to life.

Main Accountabilities and Activities

  • Implement and develop customized AEM components and templates focused on front-end design.
  • Utilize HTML, CSS (SCSS/LESS), and JavaScript (including frameworks like React) to build responsive, high-performance web pages.
  • Integrate and manage RESTful APIs and third-party systems, ensuring cohesive front-end functionality.
  • Conduct performance analysis and implement improvements, including optimization for Core Web Vitals and accessibility enhancements following WCAG 2.1.
  • Maintain code quality through regular code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
  • Develop and run E2E and unit tests using tools like Jest, Protractor, and Cypress for preemptive bug fixing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and scope for development projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality user interfaces.

 

Know-How and Competencies

Expertise, Technical Skills and Proven track record of leading AEM projects and teams

  • Extensive experience with Adobe Experience Manager 6.5.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frontend technologies.
  • Solid experience with React, including React Testing Library, Redux, and the use of tools like Webpack and Lighthouse for optimization.
  • Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining complex web applications.
  • Ability to translate UX/UI designs into dynamic and functional interfaces.
  • Experience with front-end testing and debugging using Chrome DevTools and other relevant tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Maven.
  • Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and experience with assistive technologies is fundamental.
