Adobe Experience Manager AEM Tech Lead

Our Vorwerk branch in Madrid, the IT Center, is responsible for the software development of all differentiating software solutions within Vorwerk. To establish its internal eCommerce development team, we are looking to hire a Technical Lead, Adobe Experience Manager.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES 

•Lead the architecture, design and implementation of AEM-based web content management solutions.

•Develop and enforce AEM best practices, standards and guidelines.

•Oversee the development of custom components, templates and worklflows.

•Preparing and leading deployment activities on testing and production environment.

•Conceptual and analytical development of templates, components, dialogs, workflows, models, and services.

•Directing and managing development workload across a small team of AEM developers.

•Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team.

•Determining feasibility and scalability of AEM to solve business needs, interacting with business and product owners in order to define technical solutions.

•Interpreting and translating wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements and technical designs.

•Integrating RESTful APIs and third-party systems as part of the overall architecture.

•Employing strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.

•Conducting code reviews with other developers.

•Ensure scalability, performance, maintainability, code quality and security of the AEM solution.

•Proactively initiate improvements such as site performance, stability and reliability initiatives. E.g. dispatcher optimization, Cloud Manager pipeline improvements, etc.

•Creating and maintaining ongoing relationships with various business and technology stakeholders.

•Communicating frequently with business and technology stakeholders.

KNOW-HOW AND COMPETENCIES   

Expertise, Technical Skills and Proven track record of leading AEM projects and teams

•Background as an Adobe AEM Lead (3yrs +), with strong Java/J2EE background in both front-end web design and AEM integration.

•Manage project timelines, deliverables and resources, coordinating cross functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and define scope.

•AEM experience with 3+ full cycle AEM projects and at least one plus year in Web experience (e.g. SAP Commerce Cloud Front and others).

•Provide technical guidance and foster a culture of innovation and excellence with AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs widgets and bundles.

•Solid experience with AEM TouchUI and HTML (sightly) templating language.

•Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks/libraries (jQuery, Grunt, Bootstrap etc.), and CSS pre¬processing platforms (SASS/LESS).

•Solid understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and experience with Assistive technologies (screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Wave).

•Experience with Java Content Repository (API) suite, Sling web framework and Apache Felix OSGi framework, dynamic media, and DAM.

•Experience in log monitoring & analysis (e.g. New Relic, Sumo Logic).

•Advanced English level.
