Solution Architect Ecommerce

Vorwerk‘s One Website / Global E-Commerce project's enthusiastic team is stacking up the deck continuously enhancing Vorwerk’s new website, and simultaneously developing and rolling a new global E-Commerce platform with new digital products. We are up to combine Vorwerk’s long-standing, high-quality engineering experience with agile methodologies, leading edge technologies and laser-sharp focus on customer satisfaction. We are looking for a passionate, results oriented, experienced, and self-organised Senior Solution Architect who wants to play a leading role in the architecture of the development of our digital products. 

As a Solution Architect, you will deliver quality end-to-end architecture. As part of an agile team, you liaise closely with our product, infrastructure and development team. You contribute to our agile ceremonies and support in refining our requirements until the definition of ready is met. Here, you collaborate closely with our solution architects and make sure that quality across integrated platforms is assured.

Technical Skills and Experience

Must haves:

·       Successfully completed Information Technology studies or an equivalent education

·      Several years of relevant working experience within IT as solution architect, at least 10 years in the required field of expertise (eCommerce)

·       Strong experience with web technologies and principles

·       Knowledge in some of the following areas: Content Management solutions, SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI

·    Ability to design and implement scalable and highly available systems including resilience and stability patterns

·       Strong documentation skills

·       Extensive knowledge around performance testing and system monitoring

·       Experienced in leading, managing and monitoring implementation partners

·       Extensive capability to communicate and interact internationally and with various management levels

·       Experienced in working in agile projects and usage of Jira and Confluence

Nice to haves:

·       Software development background with Object oriented or functional programming

·       Experience with distributed systems on cluster managers like Openshift or Kubernetes

·       Well-rounded technologists with experience in cloud environments like AWS or Azure

·       Experience with SumoLogic, NewRelic and/ or similar tools

·       You lead engineering best practices in your current role.

·       Flexibility: having a propensity to use the right tool for the job.

·       Focus on customer value: tools and technologies are a means to an end.

   Main Activities

     Define target architecture, interfaces, and integration with other systems as architect in the area of eCommerce (SAP Commerce/Hybris) and Adobe Experience Manager

   Understand and evaluate technical limitations of the IT system, technical dependencies to other projects and technical integration aspects​

·       Prepare and work on architecture concepts and decisions with other solution architects

·       Ensure high quality of IT solutions, non-functional requirements and solution documentation

·       Support our engineers during development sprints

·   Day to Day interaction with our cross-functional teams inclusive sprint refinements, reviews and plannings

·       Manage information exchange on all relevant IT issues within the entire Vorwerk Group

·       Communicate goals, constraints and requirements to developers and testers

·       Consult QA team during test case creation of unit tests & functional tests ​

·       Collaborate with cross-functional SMEs to lead performance and penetration tests

·       Support Ops improving monitoring systems

·       Enable constructive communication between the product owners, developers, testers, and devops
