Solution Architect

At Vorwerk, the Thermomix company, we're venturing into an exciting digitalization journey for our Direct Sales business model. As the IT organization, we aim to blend Vorwerk’s extensive engineering expertise with agile methodologies, state-of-the-art technologies and a strong focus on satisfying business needs. With a presence in over 60 countries under the Vorwerk brand, our IT team is constantly enhancing Vorwerk’s Direct Sales Application and evolving our global Direct Sales platform with innovative digital products. To complement our team, we are looking for a passionate, results-oriented, experienced, and self-organized solution architect who wants to assume a key role in our product team.

As a Solution Architect, you will be instrumental in delivering end-to-end solutions of the highest quality. As a central part of an agile team, you closely collaborate with our product, infrastructure and development teams. You contribute to our agile ceremonies and support in refining requirements until they meet the defined readiness criteria. In this capacity, you collaborate closely with other solution architects, internal as well as external stakeholders dedicated to assuming technical ownership for pipeline growth and crafting compelling solution definitions, all in line with Vorwerk’s strategy.

Must-haves

·       Successfully completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

·       Several years (10-12 years) of relevant working experience within IT, at least 5-8 years relevant work experience as a Solution Architect, ideally as an SAP Cloud Solution Architect

·       Proven experience in providing expertise integrating various systems (SAP and non-SAP) and applications, ensuring seamless interoperability and their applicability within Vorwerk’s ecosystem

·       Profound experience on the different SAP technologies (Cloud and on-premise with focus on CAP, SAPUi5, BTP, SAP CPI and API management and SAP S4Hana)

·       Familiarity with Git and DevOps specially with GitFlow, GitLab pipelines and CTMS

·       Experience with different services development patterns (monolithic and microservices) and over the different protocols to be used to integrate the different pieces

·       Proficiency in collaborating across hybrid and international teams and departments to ensure alignment with architectural standards

·       Proficiency to provide technical estimations in conjunction with the technical teams for user story preparations & refinements

·       Capability to design, review and implement solution documentation along the project in line with Vorwerk’s strategy

·       Profound experience around licensing, consumption, usage models for BTP services

·       Strong understanding of agile methodologies and their application in delivering robust solutions

·       Exceptional communication skills, also very good at writing and speaking in English

Nice-to-haves

·       SAP Cloud Certifications

·       A profound understanding of the PaaS and SaaS concepts, benefits, and challenges

·       Knowledge of architecture methodologies including TOGAF

·

·       Analyzing and understanding business requirements and working closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and other team members to comprehend the business needs and translate them into technical requirements

·       Design of the solution architecture based on the requirements to meet the business needs while considering factors like scalability, reliability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness

·       Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure alignment with architectural guidelines and SAP best practices

·       Documentation of the solution specifications, including architecture diagrams, data models, interfaces, integration points, and other implementation details

·       Understand and evaluate functional limitations of the system and contribute to the design of the overall solution architecture

·       Identification of potential risks and challenges associated with the solution, such as security vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks, developing strategies to address these risks and ensure the solution is robust and resilient

·       Regularly evaluate emerging technologies like microservices architecture, assess new tools, products, and methodologies to enhance our SAP BTP development efficiency in line with our Vorwerk strategy

·       Facilitate and promote constructive communication between the overall product team
